2009 New England Regional Black Belt Camp & Dan Shim Sa
May 2009 - The 3rd annual New England Regional APTSDF Black Belt Camp took place from May 15th-17th, 2009 at the picturesque YMCA Camp Jewell in the mountains of Northwestern Connecticut at Colebrook. This now being the 3rd annual event, we in the New England region have come to expect nothing short of an inspirational, motivational, and highly educational experience. These expectations were met and surpassed by far. Over 90 participants of all ages with ranks from red belt to Senior Masters joined with Grandmaster St. James for a spectacular weekend.

Studying the martial arts…in particular the traditional art of Tang Soo Do…requires a understanding the “right words”. The right terminology covers all five (5) pillars of our Moo Do (Martial Way). For example, here are some of the more advanced concepts associated with Tang Soo Do.

The goal of every martial artist should be to become one with nature. The goal is to tune into the natural world.
The natural world is governed by the Universal Laws. The Right Understanding includes the Universal Laws. The Laws of Attraction, Belief, Control, Contrast, Correspondence, Cause and Effect, Expectation, and Sympathetic Resonance all govern the natural world.
2009 Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation Master’s Clinic

The Atlantic Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation, headquartered in Suwanee, Georgia recently hosted their annual Ko Dan Ja or Master’s Clinic. Masters and Master’s candidates from across the U.S. traveled to the annual Ko Dan Ja and spent four (4) days focusing on the history, tradition, culture, philosophy, and physical skills related to the ancient art of Tang Soo Do. The clinic took place from Thursday, March 26th to Sunday, March 29th at Federation headquarters in Suwanee.
2008 Southeast Regional Black Belt Camp & Dan Shim Sa
On the weekend over November 7, 8, and 9, 2008, the southeastern region of the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation had its fifth annual Black Belt Camp in Jackson’s Gap, Alabama. About 120 martial artists were in attendance, over half of them participated in the Dan Shim Sa which opened the camp on Friday night.
