2010 Southeast Regional Championships & Dan Shim Sa

On the weekend of April 23-25, the southeastern region of the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation had its annual championships and spring cycle black belt test. The event was hosted by Mr. Randall Leverett of Amory, Mississippi, who was also among those testing for Sam Dan on Friday, April 23. Both the test and the tournament took place at the Hope Church in Tupelo, Mississippi, the birthplace of Elvis Presley.

The Right Understanding is sometime called “Wisdom”. It is often translated as “discernment” as it provides a sense of direction and at a higher level, the right view and right direction. This is the right way of looking at life, nature and the world as they really are. Simply put, it is to look at life and nature in a way that one understands how things really are. Understanding the right view inspires the practitioner to lead a virtuous life in line with our Moo Do philosophy.

2009 Southeast Regional Championships & Dan Shim Sa

On the weekend of October 23-25, the southeastern region of the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation had its fall cycle Dan Shim Sa (Black Belt test) and review, as well as its annual championships in Trussville, Alabama. Over 100 Black Belts and Cho Dan Bo (Black Belt Candidates) tested or reviewed at the Trussville Athletics Center on Friday night October 23rd. Two hundred (200) plus competitors gathered the next day, October 24th at the same facility for the regional championships.

2009 New England Regional Championships

The Fall New England Regional APTSDF Dan Shim Sa took place on Friday, October 9th at the Southbury Academy of Karate in picturesque Southbury, Connecticut. The Regional Championships proceeded the very next day with participant ranks ranging from tiny tigers and pee wees all the way to senior black belts. Both events took place with high expectations which were both met and exceeded in a seamless fashion.

Two martial arts Federation founders from across the world came together to kick-off Kwan Jang Nim John St. James’s Vision Tour of the Southeastern and Northeastern United States recently. Kwan Jang Nim St. James, founder of the Atlantic Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation and Kwan Jang Nim Stephen Washington of the Asia Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation joined forces for the nearly three week tour.
